Grrr


Grrr, last night some bastards in Stoke Newington snatched my camera bag. Despite plenty of running around darkened estates and my friend [info]jameslooker's valiant efforts and subsequent injuries they managed to make off with the following:

Canon EOS-1D Mark II - Serial Number: 0000208375 (Sample EXIF)
Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM - Serial Number: 121537
Canon Speedlite 580EX
4GB Microdrive (Ripped from a Creative MuVo²)
1GB SanDisk Ultra II SD card

Right now there's doubtless some junkie in Hackney trying to sell on my stuff. If anybody sees it up for sale please let me and the police know.

At the moment I'm cameraless and waiting to hear back from my insurers about replacing the equipment. If you know of any relevant message boards or blogs I would be very grateful if you could post a link to this message just in case anybody gets offered any of stolen gear.

Fuck that's dreadful! Glad you weren't hurt or anything, though I'm sure that's little compensation for the hundreds/thousands(?) quids worth of material nicked! Bastards the lot of them!

Hope it gets found or the insurance comes through ok. Have little to add that would help. x

omg. im so sorry to hear this news. i had my nikon D100 stolen from me last year along with my lens/memory cards/etc. i think i cried for a week.

i hope your insurance will cover it. i unfortunately didnt have any.
