So I went to counselling today, a new person yet again, and guess what? Yeah, I just sat there, after answering the admin questions at the beginning, crying a bit, staring at the wall and playing with a rolled-up ball of tissues in my hands. Meh. I guess it doesn't bother me that much any more because that always seems to happen, but I need to get over it if I am to make any progress! I just find it so hard to answer general questions like "How are you feeling?" or, even worse, vague statements like "This must be really hard for you to talk about". Well, yeah, that's the problem. Anyway, I have to revise for Marketing now - the last UWE exam ever!! I'll be free after 4:30pm tomorrow! Yay. post comment

So I was at Hot Topic tonight to buy my Paramore shirt and..... [14 May 2008|09:26pm] paramoremusic [pinstripes219] So I went in to buy this specific paramore shirt and i was happy to see they had it.  I happened to be wearing my JEW shirt from the past tour and the girl who rang me up was like O hey i have that shirt and we briefly started talking about the JEW performance because she went to the same show I did. She also noticed I was buying a paramore shirt and said that she owned that shirt too.  The girl then said "I love paramore...but i dont love them as much as i used to because they broke up.  Their show sucked with Jimmy and I think its because of thier break up.  I saw them earlier this year and were amazing...they are prob gonna break up really soon for good within this year." I was stunned that all came out so casually and all at once within literally 5 seconds.  I responded with "Actually they didn't break up and are comming out with a new record hopefully next summer and I'm really excited for it."  She just looked at me and said "My friends agree with me now tho ..they suck now. Ugh I hate how much they blew up." I took my shirt and left. I didn't want to waste my time to argue with her that actually they DIDNT break up, and that their so called "break up" that she thinks actually happened in reality helped the band recooperate and come out more enthusiastic and energetic then i've ever seen them before.  I also got frustrated with her how she just said "Ugh i hate how much they blew up."  I wanted to tell her so bad to think about if from any band's standpoint, "blowing up" and hearing your songs everywhere and people knowing ur singles is practically the goal of becomming a musician!! To get your music known and loved by people and any band would want to spread thier talents,share thier music with fans, promote thier music, and of course be proud that people know and recognize them as musicians.  GOD! This also relates to how a lot of people were disappointed with the whole MTV promotions but seriously having the opportunity to be exposed to MTV is a dream come true no matter what band you are.  Think about it if u were a band and MTV wanted to promote you who wouldn't say no to that??? UGH neways back to the story that girl annoyed me so much I just grabbed my shirt and left.  2 comments|post comment

[15 May 2008|11:37am] class_worrier Celtic Legend Tommy Burns has died. He played during a period of Rangers dominance but was part of the team that held back the red, white and blue tide to win in the clubs centenary year. Sadly, the first thing that came to mind when I heard the news was my friend Phil's story of being a kid and excitedly calling to Tommy as he watched the team train. Tommy walked over to calmly tell Phil and his pals to "fuck off" before returning to training. Rangers fans didn't react well to giant tv screens not working and being outclassed by a team they had never heard of. I'm relieved rather than happy about the result. 1 comment|post comment

I'm so sorry [15 May 2008|11:00am] helenium Livejournal has treated me kindly for the past few years but it is now time to move on, so this blog has a new home... http://helenium.wordpress.com/ It looks a bit shoddy at the moment, I haven't had time to make it pretty and tidy it up. But from now on I'll be posting over there instead. Apologies to anyone this inconveniences, but LJ was driving me slightly mad. I want to add fun stuff to my blog layout, and LJ was holding back my dreams of sparkly wonder.
